  3. Select your preferred option

  4. Your photo uploads and updates immediately

From Settings:

  2. Tap My profile picture

  3. The same menu appears with library and camera options

On Android, Gymkee will request camera permission the first time you choose to take a picture.

How do I change the language on Gymkee?

  1. Open Settings from the gear icon on the Profile screen

  2. Under Application settings, tap Language

  3. Select from the 6 available languages:

    • English (US)

    • Espanol

    • Francais

    • Italiano

    • Portugues (Brazil)

  5. Tap Update to save your choice

If you go back without saving, Gymkee reverts to your previous language.

How do I change measurement units on Gymkee?

  1. Open Settings from the gear icon on the Profile screen

  2. Under Application settings, tap the row showing your current units (e.g., "kg / cm")

  3. Two settings appear:

    • Mass unit: choose between Grams (kg) or Ounces (lbs)

    • Length unit: choose between Meters (cm) or Feets (ft)

  4. Tap Update to save

How do I save mobile data on Gymkee?

Gymkee offers two settings to reduce data usage, both found under Application settings in Settings:

Data saver:

  • Tap Data saver

  • Toggle Automatically start video playback on or off

  • When off, exercise videos only play when you tap them, saving mobile data

Video data:

  • Tap Video data

  • View all downloaded workout videos with their file sizes and thumbnails

  • Delete individual videos by tapping the trash icon next to each one

  • Tap Clear cache at the bottom to delete all downloaded videos at once

  • The total storage used is shown at the bottom of the screen

Downloaded videos reduce data consumption during workouts and allow you to train offline. Clearing them frees up phone storage but means videos will need to be re-downloaded.

How do I see my coach's profile on Gymkee?

  1. Go to the Profile tab

  2. On the Infos tab, scroll down to see your coach's card showing their name and photo

  3. Tap the coach card to open their full profile

Your coach's profile shows:

  • Profile picture and full name

  • Email address

  • Birthday and age (if shared)

  • Social media links (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) if your coach has added them

To recommend your coach to someone, tap the Recommend button. This opens your device's share menu with a pre-written recommendation message containing your coach's name and email.

How do I change my password on Gymkee?

  1. Open Settings from the gear icon on the Profile screen

  2. Tap My password

  3. Enter your current password

  4. Enter your new password

  5. Confirm your new password by entering it again

  6. Tap Update

Password requirements: at least 8 characters, 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 number.

You can toggle password visibility using the eye icon next to each password field.

How do I delete my account on Gymkee?

  1. Open Settings from the gear icon on the Profile screen

  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my Gymkee account

  3. Read the warning about permanent data loss

  4. Enter your current password to confirm

  5. Tap Delete my account

Deleting your account permanently removes all your data: workout history, session results, progress photos, and measurements. After deletion, you are automatically logged out. This action cannot be undone.

Tips

  • Keep your weight up to date, as Gymkee uses it for calorie estimation during workouts and activities

  • Download workout videos over Wi-Fi before heading to the gym to save mobile data and train offline

  • Check the Stats tab regularly to see your workout completion rate and assessment progress over time

  • If your coach has social media links, you can open them directly from their profile card

Common Mistakes

  • Forgetting your current password when trying to change it. You need your current password to set a new one. If you forgot it, use the password reset flow from the login screen instead.

  • Changing the language without tapping Update. If you select a new language but navigate back without saving, Gymkee reverts to your previous language. Always tap Update to confirm.

  • Deleting downloaded videos and expecting to train offline. Clearing your video cache means exercise videos will need an internet connection to play. Re-download before going to the gym.

Troubleshooting

Problem: I cannot update my password

Why it happens: The current password you entered is incorrect, the new password does not meet the requirements (8 characters minimum, 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 number), or the new password and confirmation do not match.

How to fix it: Verify your current password is correct. Ensure your new password meets all requirements. Make sure both new password fields match exactly.

Problem: My email update fails with "This address is already in use"

Why it happens: Another Gymkee account is already registered with that email address.

How to fix it: Use a different email address. If you believe the other account is yours, contact Gymkee support.

Problem: My profile picture does not update

Why it happens: The image upload may have failed due to a poor internet connection, or camera permissions were denied on Android.

How to fix it: Check your internet connection and try again. On Android, go to your device settings and grant Gymkee camera and photo library permissions.

Problem: I cannot delete my account

Why it happens: The password you entered to confirm deletion is incorrect.

How to fix it: Enter the correct password for your Gymkee account. If you forgot your password, change it first from Settings before attempting deletion.
